In this, the need to balance the continued use of fossil fuels with the move to cleaner, more sustainable sources remains a prime concern. However, it is not a case of one size fits all – nations have differing strategies to reach their development and energy transition targets.
Financing the energy evolution remains complex, too. The limited availability of affordable capital, amid worries around investment risk and regulatory uncertainty, continues to hinder progress.
